Lansing is a city in Lansing Township, Allamakee County, Iowa, United States. The population was 968 at the time of the 2020 census. The city was so named because the first settler was a native of Lansing, Michigan.
The coffee shop in this photo is in the historic G. Kerndt and Brothers Elevator and Warehouses, No. 11, No.12 and No. 13 building. The building sits right on the Mississippi river, other businesses within the structure are; Museum of River History, River View Inn and River Ridge Outdoors. While keeping the historic features intact the Coffee Shop and Wine area was custom built to compliment the space.
Canadian Pacific (CP) and Kansas City Southern (KCS) were founded in the 1800's. CPKC was established on April 14, 2023. CPKC is the first and only single-line rail network connecting a continent - Canada, the United States and Mexico.
