Pull is an image taken during Irishfest in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Irishfest La Crosse is festival held every August that celebrates Irish and Celtic culture. The festival has included a variety of activities, including music, dancing, games, and cultural exhibits.  One of the games is a tug of war competition.

The Rules:

• Two teams of eight players compete 

• The rope must be free of knots and other hand holds 

• The rope has a center line and markings 13 ft on either side 

• The teams start with the center line over a marked ground line 

• The goal is to pull the other team's marking past the center line 

• Locking your elbow below your knee is a foul 

• Touching the ground for too long is a foul 

• Pulling the rope over your shoulders may be a foul 

• A team loses if a player grasps the rope in front of the marker, sits down, or the coach touches the ro
